			The Hotel Gardena is a wonderful hotel situated in an ancient Venetian palace, just a few feet from the Grand Canal and a short walk to the Scuola di San Rocco and the Chiesa dei Frati. Originally built in the 1400s, the hotel was refurbished in 1996, with careful attention paid to balancing its Old World charm with modern conveniences. The Gardena has retained its unique architectural touches, such as wrought-iron balconettes and arched windows, and offers impeccable views over the Canale dei Tolentini and the Papadopoli gardens.
